Strider Races

Santa Fe Snow Shoe Classic

A challenging 6 kilometer snow shoe race at 9500 ft. elevation on National Forest trails. Typically the second Sunday in January. The race is located at the Big Tesuque picnic and camping area on Hyde Park Road (mile post 13).

La Corrida de los Locos

Santa Fe's off-season cross-country running event. Scheduled the first weekend of February for those loco enough to lace 'em up and get outside for a stretch of the legs.

The course travels an out-and-back course over the rolling hills of the Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe golf course. Long sleeve t-shirts for competitors. Food, coffee, and refreshments provided. Brave the elements and get the year started on the right foot!

Santa Fe Run Around

Santa Fe's annual May road race starting and finishing on the Plaza, organized by the Santa Fe Striders each year since 1979, it is Santa Fe's oldest road race.

The race benefits the local chapter of Girls on the Run, an education and health program for the young women of Santa Fe.

Fowl Day Run

Come out for the Striders annual Fowl Day 5K. The course is cross-country style over dirt roads and through arroyos. The race is generally un-timed so bring a watch. We will also have our timing clock setup at the finish. The race traditionally holds a raffle in lieu of awards - stick around and win assorted holiday pies, race and sponsor t-shirts, and sponsor gift certificates after the race.

Race day registration for this race, as it is every year, is FREE! Just stop by the registration table and sign the waiver. Runners are asked to bring in donations of non-perishable food, clothing, or monetary donations, in lieu of race fees, to benefit the Santa Fe Salvation Army who will be there boxing up the goodies. Suggested cash donations of $15 will also be accepted by the Salvation Army crew.

The Santa Fe's Girls on the Run crew will be on-hand swarming the course as in years past. Be sure to say hello and be generous with your hi-fives.
